Single-Sign On (SSO)

Enabling Single Sign-On (SSO) allows customers to access the content with either the password for the shop account or the player password.

To set up Single Sign-On:

  1. In the FlickRocket app/plug-in settings, check the enable the Single-Sign-On (SSO) option.
  2. In the FlickRocket admin, go to Company>SSO>Shops
  3. Click Add.
  4. Enter the Shop Ident to the store ID.
  5. Set the Name field to the name of your shop. (This is the name that will appear on the login button.)
  6. Set the Login URL to the page where the content is accessed. For example, for BigCommerce, you would use https://[yourBCshopurl]/login.php).
  7. Select the Platform you are using.
  8. Click Save.

The shop and player passwords are separate, so there will be no sync between them and changing either password would not affect the other.

The options for SSO and the functionality are as described below:

  • SSO disabled – Player password must be used to access content. Changing either the shop account password or player password will not affect the other password. If the customer is logged out of the shop MyContentJS page or the player app, they would need to use the player password to gain access.
  • SSO enabled – Either the shop account password or player password can be used to access content. Changing either password will not affect the other password. If the customer is logged out of the shop MyContentJS page or the player app, they could use either the shop account password or the player password to gain access. A separate button and label are shown for the shop account login.
  • SSO enabled with SSO Only option – Only the option to use the shop account password is generally presented. Changing either password will not affect the other password. If the customer is logged out of the shop MyContentJS page or the player app, they would use the shop account password to gain access.

If you enable SSO in the FlickRocket settings in the app/plug-in for the shop and want to set the name on the login button, open the FlickRocket admin, choose Company>SSO>Shop, click on the name and then edit the Name field.

To enable SSO only, go to Company>Settings and enable Always use SSO for Content Access in the Advanced section. We generally do not recommend enabling this option since it would prevent users from accessing the content using the player password.
