Every product can be offered under different licenses such as ‘rental/VOD’ or ‘permanent access’. Which license types are offered for a product is specified when the product is uploaded and can be edited in the Product settings on the website.
In addition to the default licenses, you can create new licenses and edit existing ones by selecting ‘Products / Licenses/Content Licenses’.
Each license can have titles in different languages, which are displayed in the web shop on the product details page in the default language of the user’s web browser.
Each license can either be with or without DRM. If the license should enforce any restriction, the use of DRM is required.
By setting the restrictions, you can specify what is or is not possible with the content purchased under a certain license. Please see the table below for details.

Maximum annual number of playback licenses: |
This value is the maximum number of times a user can retrieve a new license for the movie from the ‘My Movies’ page within an annual time frames starting from the licensing of the movie and restarting after the end of each time frame. Note: A new license is only issued if the DRM systems detect that no valid license exists. This may happen after a system crash or when the ‘My Movies’ page is accessed from a different computer. Note: New licenses will not be issued if the ‘Maximum total number of playback licenses’ has been reached. |

This value sets the time frame in which the content can be played after the first play has been started. |

License expiration after it is stored on client computer: |
This value sets the time frame in which the content can be played after the purchase has been performed. |

Digital Output Protection : |
This setting specifies if the computer’s digital outputs (DVI, HDMI) should be protected by HDCP. Please note that the option ‘Enforce HDCP’ will cause an error message or black screen if the hardware (graphics card and/or primary monitor) is not capable of utilizing HDCP. For example, most monitors sold before 2008 are not able to handle HDCP. |

Analog Output Protection: |
This setting specifies if the analog outputs of the computer (TV out) are protected. Please note that any option will cause an error message or black screen if the hardware (graphics card) is not capable of utilizing the selected protection. |

Burn License: |

Allow burn to DVD: |
This option enables the user to burn the movie to a DVD and allows specifying the maximum number of burns. |
|
Number of burns: |
This value is the maximum number of times a user can burn the movie to DVD, which plays in any standard DVD player. |

Digital output protection level: |
This option specifies which copy protection to use for burning the movie to DVD. Please note that the ‘Enforce’ option will not allow burning if the drive is not standard CSS Managed Recording compliant or has not a special CSS capable DVD-R media inserted. |

Analog output protection level: |
This option specifies which flags for analog copy protection to set on the DVD. Please note that these flags only indicate that the player should utilize the specified output protection options, but not all players in fact do this. This setting also depends on the ‘digital output protection level’ since players are more likely to enable their output protections in case the DVD played back is CSS protected. |

Watermark: |
This option causes an invisible watermark to be embedded during the burn process. With this watermark, it is possible to trace back the original of an eventual pirate copy to the purchase transaction. |

Visible Stamp: |
This option causes the text ‘FlickRocket: <<LicenseID>>‘ to be visibly embedded into the main movie for 10 seconds. The License ID is a unique identification which enables the tracking of the customer who purchased the movie, should this movie ever leak/be pirated. |

Device Export License: |

| Audio to mp3 | Allow the user to export the Audio package in normal, unprotected mp3 files. |

The regional restrictions enable you to offer a certain project only in certain geographical regions. These regions may be:
DVD region codes separate the world into 7 different regions. If you select to use DVD region codes, you need to specify at least one region.
Different countries use different video norms. For example, the United States use NTSC while Europe uses PAL. If your DVD supports only a specific video norm, and you offer download-to-burn or physical DVD shipments, you should limit the geographical region where you offer the DVD to the countries which use the video norm your DVD supports.
Please note that the video norm is only a problem for DVD-Players and TVs. Computer playback always works independent of video norms.
If you want to limit your offer to certain countries, you can use this restriction and select the countries you want to offer the film in.
