FlickRocket releases important enhancements to the shop’s tax handling. Please see below what changes for your region.

United States

We’ve added the option to use the free TaxCloud system with the following benefits:

• Calculates sales tax in real time for every state, county, city, and special jurisdiction in the US
• Automatically files sales tax returns (optional)
• Prepares monthly state-by-state reports on sales tax collected
• Monitors changes to tax rates and tax holidays and updates data accordingly

World wide

The tax handling has been extended to cover various advanced scenarios.

• New country based tax defaults
• Define individual tax rates
• Set tax rates on a product basis (e.g. discounted tax for ebooks or food)
• Set tax rates on a license base (e.g. special tax for public performance license)
