Using your own sub domain

To set the shop to your own sub domain:

  1. Set up a sub domain such as "shop" on your domain hosting provider and point the C-Name Record to shop.flickrocket.com.
  2. Wait until the changes propagate to the DNS servers. Note that it can take up to 72 hours for these changes to propagate to the DNS servers used by FlickRocket.
  3. Ping the new sub domain and proceed to the next step when you get a successful reply back from flickrocket.com.*
  4. Login to the FlickRocket admin
  5. Choose Frontend>Domains/Themes and click General Settings.
  6. In the Domain section, click the Change Domain button.
  7. Choose Custom domain and enter your sub domain.
  8. Click the Yes, I agree and want to change

* To Ping a sub domain name on Windows

  1. Select Run from the Start menu.
  2. Type cmd and press Enter.
  3. At the prompt, type ping subdomainname.com (for example, ping alliesaudiobooks.com) and press Enter.

  To Ping a sub domain name on Mac

  1. Hold the Command key and press the Space Bar.
  2. Type the word Terminal in the search field and press the Enter key.
  3. At the prompt, type ping subdomainname.com (for example, ping alliesaudiobooks.com) and press Enter.
