Hi, FlickRocket offers both streaming and download. In terms of security there is no difference between both. The only thing which matters for security is not if it is streamed (stored locally only temporary) or downloaded (stored semi-permanently) but how it is encrypted. Saving an unencrypted (or weakly protected) stream is as easy copying a protected (or weakly protected) stream.
In general there is a tendency to make premium (paid for) content available also via download, at least for a certain time. The reason for this is simply that you can’t rely on customers having a decent network connection at all times – and even if they have, they might not be willing to pay the traffic for re-streaming again and again.
